Domino's New Sambal Pizza Flavour Is Out!

by - Friday, November 09, 2012

With special thanks to omy.sg and Domino's pizza, we were invited to a special tasting preview of the Sambal Pizza, newly launched on October 29. Especially designed to suit Singaporeans' taste buds,  the Sambal Pizza is spicy, sweet and savoury all at once.
Every bite promises to burst with delight.

All Bloggers together with the friendly staff from Domino's. Extreme left- Mr Keith Brown and Extreme right Ms Chrissie Robyn Chong asst manager PR and events.

The Sambal pizza is the first localised Asia flavoured-pizza and has already emerged top in terms of sales in Malaysia.

If you are thinking it might be too spicy, fear not for it will definitely not be the case. The Sambal sauce is mild and comes tangy-spicy. I will put it on a scale of 1-2 out of 10 in terms of spiciness. Definitely suitable for children as well! The Sambal sauce has taken the Domino's R&D team a long time to come up with the right potion and mixture and so you can definitely be assure of the quality in these pizzas.

The Sambal Pizza series came in 4 different flavours each with its own features and authentic Sambal sauce which makes up for the base of the pizzas. You will be sure to fall in love with any one of them (if not all)  ^^

Bloggers busy taking photos :)
Introducing the 4 Flavors
The Tropical Sambal Prawn.
Topped up with succulent prawns marinated in herbs and spices, fresh onions, juicy pineapple (Singaporean's favourite in a pizza), red pepper and basil, it's a must-try.

Choose it with Domino's Crunchy Thin Crust or Cheese Burst Crust for a crispy and more cheesy feel~~ Simply Yummy!
One of my Favourites--- Tropical Sambal Prawn in Thin Crust~~~

Another highlight from their Sambal series is the Traditional Sambal.
What was really special was the addition of anchovies on the pizza and it tasted really splendid. I must say that it was really creative of Domino's R&D team to have come up with such a unique combination. I highly recommend you to try this for the crispiness of the anchovies....
Traditional Sambal in their original Classic Hand Tossed Crust
The Tropical Sambal pizza comes topped with shredded chicken, anchovies, fresh onions, pickled chili and green peppers, you won't regret choosing it.
And Traditional Sambal in Crunchy Thin Crust~~~♥♥

Now, if you can't decide which to choose from why not have a mixture of both? The Sambal Surf & Turf features succulent prawns marinated in herbs and spices, shredded chicken, fresh onions, juicy pineapples, mushrooms and green pepper all together.

Yum yum
For all the vegetarian lovers out there, the thoughtful people at Domino's have come up with the Sambal Veggie especially for you guys. Topped with fresh mushrooms, green peppers, onions, ripe olives and cherry tomatoes, this pizza is really tasty too.

For more value, opt for the Sambal Meal which is now $25.00 and comes with the following sides. How good is that?
Also as an add-on bonus, you can enjoy 1 more regular pizza for just $15 (save $7.80) with any pizza purchase.

Okay, so how can there be pizzas without sides add-ons right? We were also treated to Domino's tasty sides which includes the Crazy Chicken Crunchies in Tom Yam or Original, Garlic Cheese Onion Rings and Golden Roasted Drummets...~ ~~drool~~~
This is Mr Keith Brown, Country Operations Manager of Domino's Pizza Singapore. Friendly guy

For desserts, we had the Caramel Sticky and the Chocolate Lava Cake. The Caramel Sticky was akin to banana cake topped with caramel sauce. The Chocolate Lava Cake on the other hand was tastily sinful with dark chocolate oozing out from inside out.
